A Surprise Wedding

A Surprise Wedding.

     This had been her greatest challenge yet, Pinkie the party pony had by asked by her good friend Dash to help with the biggest surprise part ever, a surprise wedding!  It wasn't easy and Pinkie had to bring a few ponies in on it to help her out, such as Dash's mom Bow Tie. She had helped get the Bridlemares dresses, each one a different color, Bow Tie called in some favors from her modeling days for most of them and Pinkie got Rarity to make her own with out her knowing it.
      Seven dresses in all, one each for Dash's very best friends in Ponyville, one for Checkers, and one more for an old friend. It was the invitation for that old friend that Pinkie was holding in hoof right now. She had put it off long enough it was to deliver it.
      "Ok Gummy, mommy is going to go out for a bit, you hold down the fort wile Im away." Gummy blinked at her from the middle of a couch cushion fort.

     Dash's old friend woke to the sound of someone knocking at her cave door. "You had better have a good reason waking me up twerp!" She yelled as she struggled out from under her blankets. She eventually got to the door and opened it up to see HER! "YOU!"  Gilda yelled pointing angrily at Pinkie Pie. "What did you come here for, want to make fun of me some more, or maybe you want to take away more of my friends?" "Well don't bother I don't have anymore friends thanks to you!"
     Pinkie's smile faltered a little but returned ten fold as she pulled out Gilda's invitation from her saddle bags. "Dash is still your friend, she's just upset that you yelled at her other friends, and if you want friends I'll be your friend too."
     Gilda just glared at her yanking the invitation out of her hoof. "What is this?" "She should apologize to me for being so lame!" Gilda added as she opened the letter.
     "It's a wedding invitation, Dash is getting married and she wants you to be there."
     Gilda starred at the card not really reading it, after a awkwardly long moment she spoke. "I see she's still with that dork Flying V."   Gilda's face took on an angry look. "She ditches me and now she expects me to come to her wedding!?" She shouted in Pinkies face.   "Tell that back stabbing pony…er…tell her she's not cool, not cool at all!"
     "But if you don't come Dash will have to get a new Maid of Honor." Pinkie pulled out a violet dress. "I'll just leave this here in case you change your mind." Pinkie laid it down carefully and started back down the hill that led to Gilda's cave.
     Gilda watched the pink pony for a moment before turning and picking up the dress, violet was her favorite color.

     Meanwhile Flying V had just found him self in an impromptu bachelor part set up by Sonic Wonder and Thunder Crash. It consisted of the three of them, plus Big Macintosh  who had just been trying to visit with Fluttershy when he got grabbed, sitting at a table playing cards.
     "Guys, there's stuff I really ought to be doing right now." V insisted, but Sonic and Crash weren't hearing it. "And who's that guy," He pointed at Big Mac. "Wait, I think I've seen you before, are you Macintosh?"
     "Eeyup." Big Mac nodded.
     "My sister seems rather found of you, I was worried but I met your sister and she's legit." V stuck out his hoof and Mac shook it. V decided to stay, a game of cards could tell you a lot about a pony and if this was the stallion his sister liked he wanted to be sure he was up to par.
     "Alright Crash, deal the cards." "One quick game." V said, acting like he was giving in reluctantly.
     Suddenly to door was kicked in and an irate Checkers trotted thew the door. "Im sick of the tabloids!" "I was walking thew town and some pony yanked their kid inside like I was some sort of monster." She dropped into an empty chair with a thud. "Hey, deal me in and pass me a root beer." Crash started dealing out the cards and Big Mac slid a bottle over to her.

     Elsewhere Bow Tie was tying a rainbow colored tie around her husband's neck for him.
     "You never did say where we are going." Forcast said as his wife finished tying his tie for him.
     "It's a surprise, if I tell you it won't be a surprise anymore now will it?"
     "You're the one that likes surprises not me."
     "Well do you like being a stick in the mud?"
     "Now that you mention it I think I kind of do." He joked.
She hit him in the shoulder and faked being hurt.

     Elsewhere…several elsewheres Dash's friends were all getting ready, each of them wonder what was up with this party Pinkie was throwing. Rarity was wishing that she had know that the dress she had spent a week making was going to be for her, she would of added diamonds instead of rubies. AppleJack was feeling plum silly in a dress and was considering leaving it at home and saying she had forgotten it. Twilight was studding and really wasn't think about the party at all. Fluttershy was wondering if Big Macintosh would think she was beautiful in her dress.


     At the same time, back at Fort Gator, Gummy was chewing on a rubber ball.



     And now, according to Pinkies notes, it's several hours later and everyone is showing up at the town stage.
     "What is this all about Pinkie?" Twilight asked as she pushed her way threw the crowd to the pink pony.
     "No time now Twilight, lots of stuff still left to do, the girls are over there how ever." Pinkie gestured wildly.
     Twilight gave up trying to pry anything from Pinkie and joined her other friends minus Dash but plus Checkers, Twilight was waring the dress Pinkie had dropped off and she noticed the others were waring the same dress with one difference.
     "Hey girls, do you know what's going on and why we have on the same dress on in different colors?"
     "Darling I gave up on figuring out Pinkie Pie a long time ago, I just trust that she knows what she is doing." Rarity responded.
     Twilight only half heard what Rarity said, she had been looking at the dresses when she put two and two together. "Rarity's dress is red, Aj's is orange, Fluttershy's is green, mine is blue and Checkers's indigo." "Two more colors and we will be a rainbow, ok what does   Dash have planed this time?" Twilight asked looking around.
     Rarity looked down at her dress then at the others. "I say, if I didn't know better I would think we were Bridlemaids."
     Suddenly there was a fury of feathers and fur as something dropped from the air, Fluttershy squeaked in terror and ducked behind AppleJack.

     "Ok dweebs, er…ponies, Im hear lets get this show on the road." Gilda said impatiently, she felt silly in the violet dress she had to ware.
